The 2014 Triple ‘R’ Ranch & Winery Montepulciano has a a brilliant day-bright color of ruby-garnet with an intense orange hue at the rim.  The nose holds aromas of black cherries wrapped in a dried strawberry compote with an underlying expression of red clay earthiness.  The weight of the wine is medium-bodied with flavors of red and black fruit, followed by a slight dose of cola spice.  The wine possesses a pleasant balance of acidity and smooth tannins on the finish.
